Steffens-Engineering GmbH continues a long family tradition of buying and selling Diesel- and gas-engines, spare-parts, genarators, transmissions as well as fixing and overhauling them for over 50 years.
In the year 1948, Erich Steffens opened a Bosch franchise which set the fundament for todays business. For 50 years the company was specialized in Diesel engines and electric for ships and boats.
At that time the name Steffens already was established and known by many ship-owners from Basel to Emmerich. Many of them let their machine care done in Emmerich.
Based on this experience, his son Jürgen Steffens started his own company Motoren Steffens in 1976. It was specialized in engines and parts for Deutz and MWM for about 28 years.
Now in the third generation the Steffens Engineering GmbH follows the tradition.
In spite of all the adjustments to changing circumstances, the name Steffens is committed to these principles: high quality and availability paired with professional, technical know-how. The co-operation between young and old, enthusiasm and expirience, should be your benefit.
We offer you a wide range of ship- and industrial-motors and spare-parts as well as mobile and stationary powergenarators.
Our stock features the brands: Deutz ; MWM ; MAN ; Caterpillar ; MAK ; Wärtsila; SKL and MTU.
